Virtual Reality Design Review
Stand in your home before it exists
Drawings ask you to imagine. Virtual reality lets you simply look around. We provide every VR client with their own headset, set up and ready to use — and your proposal updates on it automatically as the design develops.
Walk through the rooms, judge the ceiling heights, see how light falls across the floor — at true scale, in your own time, before a single decision is built.

A headset that grows with your design
01
We deliver your headset
A standalone VR headset arrives configured for your project. No computer, cables or technical knowledge needed — put it on and you are standing inside the proposal.
02
We build your proposal in VR
The same model we design in becomes a fully explorable space — with real materials, daylight and furniture at true scale, not a simplified walkthrough.
03
It updates as the design develops
Each time the design moves forward, your headset updates itself to the latest version. Nothing to download, nothing to install — the proposal you see is always the current one.
04
You decide with confidence
Explore at home, at your own pace, with the people you live with. Then we talk through what you saw — and refine the design before anything reaches site.
Why It Matters
The most expensive changes are the ones made on site
Plans and sections are precise, but they are an abstraction. Most people find it difficult to judge from a drawing how a room will actually feel — whether a ceiling is generous, a corridor too tight, or a window in quite the right place.
VR removes that guesswork. Questions that would otherwise surface halfway through construction are answered while change still costs nothing but a conversation.
What You Can Explore
See it as you will live in it
Scale and proportion
Room sizes, ceiling heights and sightlines, experienced at a true one-to-one scale.
Daylight
How light moves through the house across the day and through the seasons.
Materials and finishes
Joinery, flooring, stone and colour, seen together in place rather than as samples on a table.
Options side by side
Alternative layouts or extension forms, so you can compare them by standing in each.
Setting and context
How new work sits against the existing building, the garden, the street and the neighbours.
For Historic and Listed Buildings
Understanding change in a sensitive setting
In a listed building or conservation area, the question is rarely just whether something works — it is whether it belongs. VR lets you see a new opening, rear extension or roof alteration in the context of the original fabric, and judge its effect honestly before it is committed to an application.
It is equally useful for helping neighbours and other stakeholders understand exactly what is, and is not, being proposed.
Practicalities
Common questions
Do I need any experience with VR?
None at all. We show you how to use the headset when it arrives, and most clients are comfortable within a few minutes.
Do I need a powerful computer?
No. The headset is self-contained and connects over your home Wi-Fi. Updates arrive automatically.
Which projects is it suited to?
Extensions, whole-house remodelling, restorations and new houses — any project where the feel of the space matters as much as the drawings.
How is it priced?
VR is set out clearly in your written fee proposal, so you know exactly what is included before work begins.
